Post ideas for Cats vs Dogs: The Game here!

Intro: Similar to Clover's movie intro?

Platforms: Computer MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Game, so we can see each other upon completion and what we think our characters looked like XD)

Controls: WASD or arrow keys movement, left-click weapon attack, mouse wheel zoom, 1-0 keys selecting element/special attack to use (assigned by player, meaning a lvl 10 primary ice could have an ice dart attack, while another lvl 10 primary ice might have something different. This also works with special attacks, branched from side, and specialty. I.E. Feline Ranged specialist could unlock a Super-Sonic Arrow attack that causes extra damage, or a Canine Ranged specialist at the sane level unlock the Sniper Shot ability, basically the same thing. Attacks would be initiated by aiming at the target and tapping the button for the corresponding ability. Meaning Canine primary Metal Melee specialist could press 1 to use an attack that doubles sword/shield/staff or whatever weapon's power for 30 seconds, then follow it up by pressing 2 and the attack causes steel to rain on the target.)

Features: Health and Special Attack meters showing health and special points left to execute special attacks like elemental blasts, or like attacks specified above, Ranking system, showing what rank you are in your army (Private, Colonel, Major, Liutenant, Liutenant Colonel, Commander) and rewards for getting better ranks (Shown for Canines. Colonel=Light Canine Armor, Major=Sword or Gun infused lightly with player's primary element, Liutenant=New Elemental Techniques Lt. Colonel=Squad Plane, Commander=Energy Saber colored by player). Will add more l8r.

    Characters

Characters can be made to do one of four different things within a side.

If you are playing as a Canine, you may play as a:

    Duelist (Melee-Based)
    Trooper (Ranged-Based)
    Medic (Self-Explanatory)
Engineer (Creates Weapons, Vehicles, etc. for other players)

Or if you are a Feline:

    Soldier (Melee-Based)
    Archer (Ranged-Based)
    Healer (Self-Explanatory)
Blacksmith (Creates Weapons, Vehicles, etc. for other players)

Elements are selected by the player, as a Base and a Secondary.

Take Blaze. Light is his Base, and Fire his Secondary.

Species can be selected as well.

    For Canine:
    Wolf
    Fox
    Hyena
Coyote (There will still be the Coyote Rouges prowling the woodland, however)
    Jackal

    For Feline:
    Calico
    Tabby
    Siamese
    Tiger
    Jaguar
    Lion
    Panther/Puma
    Bobcat

Species WILL have different skills than each other, meaning while thet are both Felines, a Siamese could never meet the strength of a similar-level Tiger, but a Tiger can't match the agility of that same Siamese.
    This is for two reasons.
    1. To make is more realistic as the animal, we're far enough from that already.
    2. To keep a fox from being able to strike as hard a blow as a jackal, and etcetera.

    But the weakness is compensated.

While a Tiger hits hard, the Siamese Cat is more likely to dodge attacks, can jump higher, etc.

    Heroics

This will simply be awesome, but only high-level players can attempt the task.

If Feline, you will at some point duel Blaze and Sparky. (Wether at the same time or not, I don't know) or Canines could have to fight Clover and Gavina. That's the point of Heroics: You're taking down (or at least attempting to take down) a powerful force.

The power bar on Heroics will be very high, making it impossible for characters to say "I think I'll give Blaze a butt whooping!" And just go do it. No, a group would be required. The rewards for completeing a Heroic quest would be great. Here's some ideas:

    Blaze Heroic Rewards:
    Blaze's Sword
    Blaze's Rifle
    Sunfire (Elemental Ability, ultimate fire)
Elemental Fragment: Fire (Need other Fragments from Heroic Battles agaisnt Sparky, Clover, and Gavina. Collecting them all will grant a weapon glowing with the player's element)
Blaze Statue (To decorate player Cave, Den, Tree, or wherever the character lives)

    Clover Heroic Rewards:
    Clover's Staff
Clover's Bamboo Gun (Fictional, I know, but needs a ranged reward)
    Earthquake (Elemental Ability, ultimate earth)
    Elemental Fragment: Earth
    Clover Statue

    Gavina Heroic Rewards:
    Gavina's Katanas
    Gavina's Armor
    Elemental Fragment: Nature
Inspiring Power (Elemental Ability, ultimate nature. Immensley strengthens all nearby allys)
    Elemental Fragment: Nature
    Gavina Statue

    Sparky Heroic Rewards:
    Blanec (Random Form)
Death Shadow (Elemental Ability, ultimate dark)
    Elemental Fragment: Dark
    Sparky Statue

I believe the Heroics should be in pairs, like so:

    Blaze and Sparky
    Clover and Asher
    Gavina and Haecon
    Gale and Kasa
Gears and (Unknown. Hold a Vote: Gears and Bullet, Gears and Clockwork, or Gears and Brooklyn)
    Friction and Tree

There will be a three way heroic:
    Ranger, Saya, and Sunlit

There ARE rewards for every heroic opponent.

    Asher's Sword
    Haecon's Dagger
    Gale's Knife
    Kasa's Knife
(Note: Gale and Kasa's knives lok exactly look like training knives given to Feline Soldier new players, but do significantly more damage)
    Gears' Pistol
    Friction's Pistol
    Tree's Sword

    Quests

There are Quests to give extra money and experience points to Characters, and these will be given by characters from CvsD. Most are restricted to a side, but others are not. Some have rewards besides those previously stated.
    Examples:
    (Canine, given by Tank)
    Title: Operation CA-TT
    Objective: Kill 10 Feline Players
Reward: RPG-22 (Rocket Propelled Grenade 22. Today's is only the RPG-7)

    (Feline, given by Zippy)
    Title: Missing Falcon
    Objective: Locate Razor the Falcon
    Reward: Bolt Shot (Electrical Bow-and-Arrow)

    (No Team, Given by Harlequin)
    Title: Vengeance
    Objective: Kill 50 Humans
Reward: Crestfallen (One of Harlequin's Daggers)

    Weapons

There will be many weapons. Some better than others. But the way I see it, this is the starting weapons.

Canine Melee: KC-8 Slasher (Knife with a fancy name)
    Canine Ranged: Z-60U Pistol
Canine Medic: Injector Needle (Used throughout player's game to inject different substances for healing)
Canine Engineer: Schematic Projector (Used to build stuff)

    Feline Melee: Training Knife
    Feline Ranged: Training Bow
Feline Medic: Scalpel (Simple, but different blades are used for different tasks)
Feline Engineer: Hammer (Used to build stuff)

My brain hurts... I'll do more later.

    Map
    (PC=Permanent Canine Zone
    PF=Permanent Feline Zone
    PN=Permanent Neutral Zone

Anything not using those three acronyms is a contested zone)

    Thunder Mountain (PC)
    Star Mountain (PF)
    The Clearing (PN)
    Twin Trees (PN)
    Mud Pond
    Jungle
    City (PN)
    Deep Woodland
    The Meadow
    Grassland
    Sky Mountain
Arena (Neutral, for highlevel players. Pay to get in. All players inside are instantly available to attack, regardless of side. Money is awarded for every player slain without being killed yourself)

    Contested Zones

    Areas that are NOT:
    PC
    PF
    or
    PN

Canines and Felines attack each other openly here. Every kill adds one point. The more points, the better.

    Points

Every point a player gets goes toward higher Ranks in the Canine or Feline army, and the amount of points to a side in one area decides Control.

    Control

    Control is good. VERY good.
Take Mud Pond, and Felines have more Control over the area than Canines. There would be a Feline outpost there. The greater amount of Points and Control the Felines accumulate, the better the Outpost becomes. Outposts start with only a Medicine Cabinet for Medics or Healers to use in healing other players. As a side gains more Control, more amenities are collected. (Swords dull in battle, meaning less damage. Guns run out of ammo)

5 Control Over Enemy (COE): Ammo Crates
    10 COE: Sword Sharpener
15 COE: Soldiers (Not the Feline Melee Class, but soldiers for your side)
20 COE: Defenses (Explosive Spear Launchers for Felines, Turrets for Canines)
25 COE: Tanks (Mobile Explosive Spear Launchers for Felines, EFW's for Canines. EFW=Enforcer Forest Walker)

The Felines are trying to Collect some COE, but three Feline players are killed, giving Canines 1 COE. (If 0 COE, outpost is neutral, but medicine quality in cabinet is greatly deminished) What happens now? The Feline Outpost is captured, and is now a Canine Outpost.

    Engineering and Blacksmithing

Engineers and Blacksmiths make the world go 'round. They can create weapons, vehicles and other things more powerful than usual.

A Sword found by killing an NPC does a Max of 145 damage. But you have a better weapon, so you decide against it. But you still want a sword, but the one you found isn't very good. So you, being a Feline, call on a Blacksmith for help. He creates a Sword that looks the exact same, but does a Max of 280 damage. The difference? Engineers and Blacksmiths always do it better.
They can also make things not found in quests or from enemies.
    Examples:
    Katana
    Gatling Gun
    Throwing Knives
    Grenades
    Grenade Launcher
    Hoverboards
    Hangglider
    Mini-Bomber
    Personal Catapult
    Personal Turret

(Personal items are smaller versions of something large and stationary. These may be used during Invasions, or if there isn't much COE at an outpost, there might be a use as well. However, they can be used at other times. They are stationary, and must be used near a building on your Side (feline and canine).

    PvP

PvP is open and can occur at almost any time, the exception being in PN areas. In the PC Thunder Mountain, it's open season on Felines. At Star Mountain, a PF, Canines there can be attacked by Felines if caught.

To Catch a player, the player must be seen by a player of the opposite side. The Player on patrol who found the enemy must use the Catch command. This alerts all other players in the area. The team that caught the spy gets an "Intruder Alert!" message, along with the location, while the team that was caught will get a "Cover Blown!" message. Spying can only be done five spies at a time, and can only be done at night. During the day, (6:01am-5:59pm, while night is 6:00pm-6:00am) any player at the enemy base is fair game. PvP score is doubled at Thunder and Star mountains, because the areas cannot be captured.

    Sub-Groups

Spy is one of three Sub-Groups. The sub-groups are Field Commander, Spy, and Commando.

Field Commanders can make nearby members of the same side more powerful. Field Commanders can also call airstrikes from Hanggliders or Mini-Bombers.

Spies can be deployed prior to an Invasion to determine which battle plan is being used by the enemy.

Commandoes use grenades and mines to stop enemies in their tracks.

    Invasions

Every other hour, an Invasion is held at the Mountains. One occurs every hour. This may sound contradictory, so I will explain.

    Explanation:
    12:00am: Thunder Mountain Invasion (TMI)
    1:00am: Star Mountain Invasion (SMI)
    2:00am: TMI
    3:00am: SMI
    And etcetera.

Invasions are great ways to earn Points to rank up and earn money.

    Caves and Dens

Caves and Dens are the dwellings of Canines and Felines, respectively. They start with a Bed, Stove, and Refrigorator. Meat must be eaten by Canines and Felines in order to keep health. Furniture can be made by Engineers and Blacksmiths, or found from defeated enemies. The rarest furnishings are the statues of Blaze, Gavina, Clover, and Sparky. Couches, chairs, extra rooms, paintings, training dummies, mirrors, cabinets, and other decorations can be added as well. Refrigorators are used to store meat, stoves to prepare it for consumption. Some are actually of use other than refrigorators, stoves, and beds (for saving the game) such as Ammo Crates, Medicine Cabinets, Sword Sharpeners, Autoturrets, Storage Units, and Extra Rooms.

    Invasions

I will give an in-depth description of Invasions now.

TMI's are every two hours, as are SMI's. But they rotate. Hour 1: TMI Hour 2: SMI
    And so on...

Medics and Healers play a great role in Invasions, obviously.

Battle Plans are what the team's NPC's follow to move. If not careful, the Battle Plans may be stolen by a spy. For 10 Minutes, the battle plans are selected by the defending team. This also allows time for players to arrive around the mountain.
There are three enterances/exits to every mountain. The Battle Plan decides where NPC's move to.
    Example:
    30 Troops to Left Enterance
    10 Troops to Central Enterance
    20 Troops to Right Enterance

There is one of each setting: High Reinforcements, Medium Reinforcements, and Low Reinforcements. They all must be used, leaving one enterance heavily guarded, one guarded, one lightly guarded.
The Battle Plan applies to attackers, too. It decides how many troops attack an enterance, similar to the defenses.

Instead of guessing where the enemy will attack or defend, Spies can attempt to steal the battle plans and return them to the base.

Invasion attackers have the equivalent of a Max COE outpost as their base.

    Recreation

It's not all fighting and invasions. There is Poker, Air Hockey, Pool, Target Practice (Using Elements), and Racing.

All recreation is available to both sides.
Money can be won playing games.

    Roleplay

There is a roleplaying aspect of the game. Players may declare themselves roleplayers and roleplay.

Now I think I should address the character abilities more, and add another piece to them to further bog down people's computer memory. XD

    Stats and Bars

You need a health bar. No way around it. There can't be an inconvienient menu to search through just to see how much your opponent is making you epicly fail.

Here's something I made up myself. During the creation of the character, one of the final steps will be. Four meters: Health, Elemental Ability (EA), Power, and Agility.
    Health is self explanatory.
EA is a different name for MP.
    Power is self explanatory.
Agility determines the likelihood of the opponent missing you.

    Extreme Specials

An extreme special is an attack that consumes every last EA point, but is so powerful, its worth it. EA has no Extreme Special, considering you need it for using the ES's. The ES gained has to do with the meter step in creation. The highest set bar will decide which one it is.

    Here's some examples:
Power High: Alpha-Omega (Begins with quick strike, goes into deadly attacks, finishing with an attack I call Berseker Stab, an extremely powerful stab while airborne)
Health High: Hyper Heal (Heals incredibly quickly)
Agility High: Flash (20 quick and powerful strikes)

I gotta make dinner... Can't do much at the momento.

Well, well, well. I haven't been here for a veeeery long time. I have a couple more ideas, though, if it's even worth posting them Razz

    Vehicles

Vehicles are used for either A. Transportation, they can be used to get from point A to point B quickly, but you'll be blown out of the sky if spotted by a powerful enough Canine or Feline (depending on your team) or if found by a player in a B. Attacker. Attackers are slower than even normal players on foot, but have so much firepower it can be overlooked. Enemies will have to work hard to be able to take you down, but don't expect to pursue anyone and don't really search actively for Transports. They transports will most likely be able to avoid your presence (attackers are pretty dang big), but it not, they will pay the price of you shredding their vehicle apart most of the time. The transports can travel in packs, that would be either safer or less safe. Safer because, well, strength in numbers. Less safe because there is more likelihood of being spotted by a patrolling Attacker. If flying a transport to an invasion or contested warzone, it is advised to land a good distance away from the battlefield until the danger level is ascertained. It won't be such a thrilling situation for you to pilot over to a warzone as a canine in your Squad Plane (yeah, they won't be that tough actually) only to be blasted by an explosive spear launcher placed by canines they have a hefty advantage over the canines. Seriously, that would probably bug you.

    Turrets

These are similar to vehicles, and can be acquired by players just as vehicles can. The difference is, turrets are both immovable and more powerful than even Attacker vehicles. These can only be activated by the defending team in TMIs and SMIs or they will be eventually acquired if performing well in warzones. These can be, by engineers, set to an autoturret mode, which is less accurate than a person manning it. Turrets in Invasions can ONLY be manned, engineers and blacksmiths cannot change these. Autoturrets may not pick up targets a human player would, so generally they are unreliable and should only be used if there are not enough players to battle the forces. They can also be switched back, of course.

Aaand. More later, but only if one of you comes back to read this... It almost just makes me feel better bein' here.
