Canine GT Arena

I made my board slide to a stop at the gate. I was about to walk in, when the tech from before stopped me from his own fisturistic bike-thing. "I forgot to give you this!!!" He said, tossing me a band with a distinct darkish red rectangular mark on it. "Put that on! When the energy bar is totally full, this can rocket you ahead for a short period of time!" "Wow." I said, splipping it on along with a pair of black gloves. "Oh, and I'd like to race you!" "You would? Okay." I said, and stepped into the massive building. "Like it." "Uh-huh." I said faintly. The tech smiled. "I knew you would. This is only the beginning. There are tons of tracks in here, 5 to be exact!" "Which one is good for beginners?" "There, the first GT track." I turned to the flashing sign with GT 1 on it. I went to the starting line. A rbot was at the gate. "Welcome! How many are in your party today?" "2." I said. "Please stand at the starting gate so the machine can scan who you are! This helps us by being able to track records, wins, losses, who your rival is and more! Please enoy your time here, at the Canine GT Arena!" We stepped with our vehicles to the gate, and a blue light breezed over us. "Inferno Jet: Blaze Inferna's board." "How does it do that?" "It took a long time." It scanned the tech next. "Photon Rocket: Bolt Thudaran's bike. Please move to the 50 marked on the starting grid." We did so. An electrical barrier showed up in front of us. "What's that?" "Wait for it..." Bolt replied. He ran at it. "3..." It beeping as he ran. "2..." He came closer. "1..." He was almost at it. "0." It beeped, and the field went down. He leapt onto the bike. "Catch me if you can!" He called happily. I smiled and bared my teeth, sort of a bit of both, and ran, jumping on my board. A jump was ahead. I grabbed onto it, and flipped myself to the next piece of road.

I stepped into the building, looking at the giant tracks layed out before me. Gossip around HQ eventually lead me here after the poker game, I decided to check it out. There were a couple bleachers abd benches lying around to look at races and games that were going on. I slowly sat on one bench, looking out over GT 1 as it said. I could barely make out the figures, so I just watched them, not cheering or anything. Just looking at the two zoom by occasionally. I had to smile, since all of this was way new for me, it was pretty cool.

I came around again, ahead of Bolt. I grabbed Sparky onto my board as I jumped by. "Hey beautiful." I said with a smile, holding her tightly. The board was just big enough for the both of us.

"Hey," I smiled, looking out at the track, "So do you mind explaining to me what all this is?" I mumbled, motioning to the building in general. I didn't want him to lose focus, although I did want answers.

"Bolt will after I cream him." I joked, in the last lap.

I just shrugged and let him hold me tight.

"Blaze wins." It beeped as I crossed the finish. I gently let Sparky down as the board stopped. "I'll translate Blotian for you." Bolt's bike slid to a stop after crossing. "Hey, Sparky!" "She wants to know about this stuff." "Kay. This is the Canine Gran Tusimo Arena."

NRR: GT is Gran Turismo...

"He means this is where canines race on hover-ey things." "They use micro-repulsors to lift off terra firma and can use powerful turbines to propel themselves foward." "They have floatey machines in 'em and engines that make 'em go real fast."

"I could understand his explaination better than yours actually," I remarked, chuckling a bit and let out a hand for Bolt's to shake, grinning.

I laughed and Blot shook Sparky's hand.

"This seems like an interesting idea.. hey, Blaze, have you finished the treaty yet?" I asked, facing him with a curious lok on my face.

I nodded as Bolt went to the race shop to check up on everything.

"Good." I smiled brightly, looking out at the tracks.

I showed Sparky a rolled-up piece of paper, which I then put in my pocket.

Bolt was in the race shop, polishing the latest model for small canines, like foxes and hyenas. He then slipped into another room in the shop, and turned a light on. 'Feline Section' adorned a sign in the large warehouse-like room.

"Soo.." I paused, "What do you wanna do?"

I whistled sharply, and Bolt came running. I whispered into his ear. He left and came running back with a stunning black and silver hoverboard. 'Shadow Spark' was on it's front. "Surprise!"

I had a feeling this was coming. I smiled, gently taking the board. "Niiiice," Although, later, I would redesign a little bit of it..

"I have a secret." Bolt smiled. "Yours are both composed of a morphing metal. Charge one of these..." He said, putting a ring similar to mine in Sparky's hand. "... And you can rocket forward at uncountable speeds, or transform it into..." He took mine, and slipped a cartridge into a slot. "This." He said, as it turned into a thing with handles, stubby wings, and three jet engines. "This is called an air rider." It split three ways, the metal foot grips on either side. He took ot the cartridge, and it morphed back into a board. "The mod was made to amplify both of your wings of the jumps, carrying you much farther, quicker than normal."

I clapped, watching as the vehicle morphed quickly to an air rider and back.

"Sweet, man. You are great."
"I know." He laughed.

"This is a good improvement.." I thought, putting my paw on my chin.

I glanced at Sparky, knowing she thpught something, but I hadn't been listening to her thoughts, so I didn't know what it was.

"The race shop has some upgrades, weapons, lots of stuff that you can attatch to these babies." Bolt explained.

"Mhmm.." I mumbled, still thinking. I had my mind on the treaty, although I knew I shouldn't. It just kept coming up. Maybe I jsut needed a break.

I looked at Sparky again and smiled a bit.

I'll take her somewhere nice...

I thought happily.

I looked over at Bolt, "Hopefully this will get our minds off of what's been going on." I looked over at the tracks, tempted to hop on my board and speed down the road. But I could control myself.. for now.
