The Canine Caves

"Love isn't feeling sorry for someone." Leaf said, sort of trying to make himself look taller. "Why would he be sorry for you? Well, I mean, right now, that's simple... But... You seem really nice to me. I don't see any reason for him to be sorry for you." Leaf lowered his voice to a whisper. "With his anger issues, people should be sorry for him."

I shrugged, "Pity and love are very much alike despite being so different."

"It can seem that way occasionaly. But at times it can be very easy to tell them apart."

I sighed and shrugged, looking at my bloody clothes.

"I think he loves you. It explains why he doesent want anything to happen to you." He said matter-of-factly. He walked to the enterance. "Love is what you percieve it as." He said. He was pretty smart for one so young. He walked out of the cave.

I thought to myself, while putting up a "thought" barrier inside my mind, I.. want to be in love but I don't. I love Blaze, but not to the point of settling down and having pups, especially since I'm in an army. There's too many other things goin' on and too many fish in the sea.. besides, I'm not even close to his type.. But oh well. Maybe I'll grow attached to him later on. For now, I'll just keep this to myself. I just hope Clov doesn't think I'm a man-stealer. Then I would totally have to kill something. Like myself.

I sighed and changed quickly, my new clothes hiding most of my scars, luckily, unlike the other ones.

NRR: Clov is over her crush on him. . . she just mainly hates him and all now XD

It was Friction's turn now.
A knock on the side of the cave entrance signalled her arrival.
"Need some clean clothes?" she offered a purple tshirt and some jeans.

I shrugged, "Nah, think I have enough to last about a week, before those are covered in blood too."

Friction let out a quick laugh and set them on a table.
"They're there for ya just in case. Sorry if the shirt is to baggy. I find them more comfortable that way"

"Thanks anyway," I smiled nad took the clothes gratefully, hanging it up in the small cabinet I used for my clothing.

Friction sat on a chair.
"Mind if i stick around to talk?" she asked. Friction hadnt talked to girls at least near her age in forever.

"I have some time for a chat, I guess," I pulled up a chair and sat across from her, a slightly bored, slightly curious expression on my face.

"Those plains worked like a dream!" Friction sighed happily, before a small scowl occupied her face.
"Stupid cats and their defenses. If only That Tree would have come out of the force field. I woulda been on him in a second!"

"Yeah, the cats are gettin' on my nerves. Hey, despite tryin' to help me, they still wanted to hurt me. It confus's me slightly, but meh, you had to act fast in that situation. I heard they were gonna burrow underground, tryin' to knock away our defenses, eh?" I sighed, leaning back and twidling my thumbs, looking at the ceiling.

Randomly, I took out my acoustic guitar and finger-plicked off key with a random beat, singing loudly and obnoxiously on purpose, "Ohhh, we're gonnnnaaa break their bones and make theirr skinn crraawwwlll.. ohhh yyyyeeeaaaaahh! Blah blah bllaahh, blah blah blah bllllaaaahhh!" I put in a fast guitar solo, just making my fingers move rapidly up and down the strings, the chords becoming strained, "Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeeaaahh! Thank you, thank you very much! I l've you all!" I laughed slightly and put it away, my fingers burning from the strings' vibrations.

Friction laughed a bit before giving a small wave and leaving, heading to the lounge for her usual drink.

Gears, wearing a suction suit, climbed in on the ceiling, holding his healing ray. "Guess who?" He said with a grin.

I smiled and waved, fopping on the bed when she left, sighing. I thought to myself, Why am I so depressed at times? I should take love with open arms, especially if it's.. true.

Looking up, I saw Gears on the ceiling. I grinned and waved again, "Well if it isn't Gears, or as I like to call him, "Mr. Smartypants"! What new-fangled contraption did you build today?" I loved to make fun of steriotypes, especially the cranky-old-man-who-still-wears-70's-clothing kind.

"Hey!" He frowned, but he knew she was joking. "This!" He said, jumping onto the floor, much to his dismay as he got stuck of the floor. "Its a heling ray!" He grunted a few times, trying to unstick his feet. "It worked on Blaze's broken arm, so... Would you mind if I used it on you?" He said, trying his best impression of a begging puppy.

"It WOULD be nice..." I mumbled, gesturing to my many broken bones and wounds.

"Kay. It stings for like... 2 seconds." He charged the ray, and fired at her. He waited, using his x-ray goggles to literaly WATCH the bones healing. "It works!" He exclaimed.

"Aww.. it feels 100%, thanks to you. Gears, you're the best!" I hugged him softly.

When she let go, he mumbled gibberish, and started to fal, but he was stuck in one place.

I looked over at Gears, a smile still tugging my face. I started ti head towards the lounge, "You coming?"

He snapped back into reality. "Yeah, just lemme -grunt- get my foot unstuck! I knew I should have made an unstick button!"

"Uhh.. I'll wait for you there." I headed towards the lounge, bringing my good ol' acoustic guitar.
